I bring this up because programmers (such as myself) may get filtered syntactically by math, but still would be able to provide a solution if the content itself was presented in a better format. Maybe that's the point since this is a imageboard for math autists, but this holds potential to be an aristocrat/elitist's imageboard if it was more syntactically neutral, but hey, that's just me.
Attracting more math-oriented individuals
Greetings anons, I think this board shows a looooooot of potential! However, due to the number of math-oriented individuals being low in imageboard circles, this board isn't receiving a lot of traffic. I think we should strategize on how we can reach out to other non-imageboard math communities and convince them to pay us a visit!

If when clicking on a post number and getting a floating window to post, it would also show a captcha, instead of showing nothing, then banning me for 15 minutes.Btw, are there any plans on how to prevent people from simply entering these problems in wolfram alpha?
Also, am I going to have to solve a small problem every post? Wouldn't it make sense to have to solve one captcha per day or at least per hour?
Is it possible to access the IB software somewhere? I'd be interested in hosting an IB with some friends and we were looking at your software and it seemed nice, but I saw no link to the code on this website, so I wondered if it was available for download. If there's a link available to the repo please send it over; we'd be grateful.

Inclusion of RSS
My apologies if there IS indeed RSS for boards, I have not seen it.So, I support altchans, I think they are valuable. However, I don't want to go to each chan to see what's up, and I like to see if there's RSS so I can add them to a list of RSS feeds I have for forums. Can a feature like this be implemented?
Link shortening is bad
Hey I noticed links posted here get "cloaked" through theexit?u=IDendpoint. This is bad.
Link-shorteners make link-rot so much worse. When a shortening service dies, all links it resolved are lost forever too. By acting as a middleman, shorteners add another point of possible failure in the chain: https://www.economist.com/international/2012/10/13/cut-short
If mathchan dies, links in threads people may have backed up or archive die too. Perhaps this is OK or intended in sites designated for ephemeral discussion, but I get the impression your site is for discussion of pretty serious topics. Think about people, X years, who want to reference dead threads from here and do so through a 3rd party like the wayback machine. Or people today who simply want to read your site offline and want know where links lead to at least.
Don't mess with links.
Merry Christmas 2.0
It has been a little over two weeks since Mathchan became public. For those of you that celebrated eastern Christmas on January 7th: merry Christmas! Last week, we had Mathchan's dark theme added along with some general usability features. The site is certainly ready enough to be used to discuss mathematics considering LaTeX and preview are fully functional. In addition, certain boards have seen their own domain specific features implemented, namely:- /math/ - Mathematics now supports embedding commutative diagrams,
- /chem/ - Chemistry now supports embedding chemical figures,
- /ee/ - Electrical Engineering now supports embeddnig circuits, through CircuiTikZ.
Each of these boards have gotten their own sticky detailing how to use those given features. We are now looking forward to enable embedding Feynman diagrams for /phd/ - Physics, data strutures for /cs/ - Computer Science and neural networks for /ai/ - Articial Intelligence. When they are done, they will get their own stickies as well. Afterwards, the next three boards will receive attention and so on. Every board is going to get its own sticky detailing the specific features Mathchan offers to the board to aid discussion of its topic.
Note that we already support embedding a lot of imagery through TikZ. For example, we can embed data structures such as binary trees through TikZ's trees library like the following:

Now if you check the source code of this post, you would see exactly how the structure above was embedded. The LaTeX code required to generate the structure is admittedly quite cumbersome and inconvenient. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a simple command such as \bstree{A(B(CD)E(FG))} that would generate the above structure? Yes - and there is going to be! Mathchan will have extremely simple commands that will generate structures such as arrays, list, trees, graphs and more - and that's not even the only thing planned for >>>/cs/, though we will reserve that for an announcment coming later.
For now, the update is that there will unfortunately be no updates until March 1st because Mathchan's development team will be busy with internal development that is essential but invisible to our users. After March 1st, rapid development of features that will directly benefit our end users will continue with new features detailed every Saturday. So for the four or five of you who are aware of this site's existence -- until next time!

It has been a week since Mathchan has been launched into existence - last Saturday on Christmas, 25th of December 2021. Today, it's New Year's eve. Mathchan wishes you all a Happy New Year! We hope you continue following us as we make this website ever more useful and, hopefully by the end 2022, we will make it feature complete and bug free.To celebrate this occasion, Mathchan implemented a new feature today - one without which Mathchan would certainly be unusable: instantaneous post prevewing. The feature is toggled by checking the
Preview Post check box, or by pressing ALT + P while focused inside the comment text field. Upon activation, a new section will appear rendered identically as it would be if you posted it. Almost all of Mathchan's markup can be rendered instantaneously. The commands that cannot be rendered instantaneously are the ones which require server rendering, such as \chemfig{...} and \tikzpicture{...}. To render these, simply stop typing for 25 seconds and they will be automatically rendered too.
In the first week of our existence, we were raided by the folks from Soyjak Party. Because they are among the first users of Mathchan (and thus Mathchan's historical oldfags), I have banned none of them - in fact, two global emojis were added in order to honor your legacy to this website - soyjak
